Rainbow trout fishing in a clear spring pond at the southern foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains

You can enjoy rainbow trout fishing in a clear spring-fed pond at the southern foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains. You can take home all the fish you catch. We recommend having them grilled with salt. We also recomend catching rainbow trout by hand on warm days from spring to autumn.

Rainbow trout fishing (with rod, bait and bucket)

Unlimited fishing within the hour.
No limit on the number of fish you can catch.
Rental rods 360cm and 270cm
Free of charge for changing the hook and line (¥300 for changing the hook).

Customers with their own rods are limited to 15 fish per hour per rod, after which they must pay ¥100 per 100g.
Rod length up to 4m, no reels allowed.
Additional charges apply for large fish to be taken home.

During 16 July - 31 October., visitors who do not fish (excluding pre-school children) will be charged a separate admission fee of ¥200 (tax included).

The BBQ house can be rented, and it’s perfect for families with small children or lively groups that want some privacy and enjoy without worrying about others around you.

We have an exclusive group plan for large groups.

At the Fishing Area Yamazato, we have an exclusive group plan for large groups such as company trips, learning experiences, and boy scouts. 

The BBQ house created in 2019 can accommodate 40 guests.
Fishing Area Yamazato is in a great location, just two hours from Tokyo, and three minutes from Kobuchizawa IC.
